It is a story that drags since Jane Eyre and Sister Carrie—a story about vulnerability of a young woman without funds that has to prove her self-respect in a man’s eyes.

Review of Yana Andriesh’s, “Work, Love, Save, Repeat”

Thoroughness and Comprehension: (✓)

I really appreciated the critical analysis in the first half of this response. It showed a strong sense of comprehension and understanding of Paulette’s original work.

The second half of this response feels disjointed, almost as if it’s written by two different people. I couldn’t grab the full connection or conclusion that this piece was trying to convey. So close…but the end felt like a missed opportunity.

Stretching of creative muscles: (✓)

I didn’t get too much of what was your own voice other than the personal anecdote in the beginning of the second half. I felt like we were just opening the door to a great story, then the door was shut.

Using the right tools for the job: (✓)

Using horizontal rules to break up the story in two parts and the ending punctuation of the GIF hit the expected marks of this story.
