Welcome to our monthly focus on new features available in the Naker Editor!

October was a productive month in term of improvements and changes in the Naker editor. Again thanks to all your feedback, the next features were obvious but we took the time to make it right so that it goes behind your expectations!

1 — Full-Screen 3D scene 🧐

See what goes beyond the screen size

One problem you had using Naker was that the 3D scene was only visible in the screen container 🔳 (rectangle with white lines). But when you had to move a component outside this container, you were kind of blind. To avoid that we push the scene beyond these borders and add some grey layer to keep the focus on what will be visible by your visitors 👀. Very convenient when you are working on animations with components coming from outside the screen for instance.
The next step will be now to allow you to change the container size (width and height) and let you test your 3D website on mobile! 📲

2— Lights 💡

One simple light with movement

A very cool 3D feature is the light! A lot of you wanted to be able to play with a light component. And we agree with you because lights are mighty to create more realistic 3D effects.

This new light component already has several options: you can set the colour 🍭, the intensity 🚨 and the range 📏. Plus you can choose if the light will cast a shadow or not and what will be the darkness of this shadow. Then you can move it and animate it like any other component.

One free tip: Using two lights with two different colours, you will be able to create a very cool gradient effect.

3— Camera movements 🎥

Camera zoom on astronaut with a rotation

A significant feature you asked us was camera movements. Indeed, making the camera moves can make your scene even more immersive ⛷️! Note that you can’t yet choose the camera position but all animations are doable and with all classic trigger events like scroll or mouse move 🖱️. Thus you could zoom on a model when your visitor hovers it, you can move back when the visitor is scrolling, etc, etc. You can select the camera in the selection panel. We are sure you will create a lot of new nice 3D scene thanks to that. 💪

Last words

We want to thanks all of our beta tester for their support and constant feedback. Please continue! 😍 And for those who don’t know us yet, come to test our editor here.
