Finance & Operations Manager
We’re looking for an individual with strong business management skills to join our growing team to head up finance and operations. This candidate is ideally a Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years post article experience, preferably in rapidly growing business/s who wants to contribute to the overall functioning, optimization, direction and operations of a dual location (London and Cape Town) tech business.

More about the role
Working with the Founder, you will be responsible for the full accounting function across locations including preparation of reporting and audits in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS. You will project manage our journey to ISO-27001 certification and you’ll understand the implications and impact of GDPR on a tech business with clients across the globe.
You’ll be responsible for establishing and executing on our accounting and operational processes and controls. You will build consistency and compliance into our operations while still being creative and pragmatic as we work out how best to build an international business. You will look after legal and contractual requirements (with expert input). This is to ensure we’re keeping our promises to our clients and to our users, and to help us sleep better at night.
You’ll build financial models and prepare budgets to better predict and manage our growth and will play a key role in our potential VC fundraising efforts as we grow. You will be based in the Cape Town office but your work will also support the London team.

- Communication — You are an articulate communicator who is great at developing rapport with team members in person and through effective written communication.

About the founders
Paul Galatis is an entrepreneur in the technology space. Along with his two partners, he’s spent the past ten years building South Africa’s most highly awarded e-commerce company, Yuppiechef.com. In 2013 Paul sold a piece of his stake in Yuppiechef to Tiger Global, a US venture fund, and stepped into a non-exec role and in 2015 started Names & Faces.
Richard Arscott has been in advertising for the past 20 years. He was Managing Director of AMV BBDO, the UK’s biggest advertising agency, where he bought Names & Faces as a client. In December 2016 he resigned to join the Names & Faces team as Head of the Foreign Office. Richard is based in London.
