Announcing the launch of NANG — A 10-issue (print) magazine dedicated to cinema in Asia
NANG is a new 10-issue magazine which covers cinema and cinema cultures in the Asian world and “draws them near” onto the printed page. The aim is to publish, issue-by-issue, a wonderfully rich and profound collection of words and images on cinema, for knowledge, inspiration, and enjoyment.
This is not a traditional cinema magazine: it will not feature news, reviews, event or industry reports nor it will try to fit within particular niches. Rather, thanks to the collaboration of a unique group of guest editors and contributors, NANG will broaden the horizons of what the moving image is in Asia, engaging its readers with a wide range of stories, contexts, subjects and works connected by the cinema.
As an independent, non-ad-driven publication, NANG solely relies on the support of its readers, launch partners and sponsors.
An introductory, preview Issue 0 has been launched in May 2016. Issue 1 will be published in late-September 2016.
