We have lots to share this week as the Nano ecosystem welcomes a new crypto swapping service, we provide a summary of a huge r/Argentina Nano discussion, and share a great guide to using Magnum wallet with Nano. There is also a new Nano game to tell you about and opportunities to learn more about Appia as they announce the upcoming opening of their beta program.

Godex lists Nano

The coin swap service Godex listed Nano this week, continuing Nano’s pace of global adoption among exchanges and services. The easy-to-use service allows users to choose a currency, enter a destination wallet, and deposit funds to swap. Godex’s service allows a broad group of people the ability to obtain Nano quickly and easily, and furthers our mission to make Nano more available globally.

We’re happy to see Godex spreading the adoption and use of Nano, and excited to have them join the Nano ecosystem.

Argentina AMA with Nano

On Wednesday we had the pleasure of introducing Nano to the r/Argentina community on Reddit, with an impromptu AMA involving members of the Nano Foundation team including Founder, Colin LeMahieu.

In light of the developing economic situation in the country, many people are beginning to explore the features of cryptocurrency and how they compare to the system with which they are familiar. The curiosity led to the introduction of the Nano tipbot onto the subreddit, and the subsequent discussion was extremely constructive and valuable.

After 24 hours, the discussion totaled nearly 600 comments, with the conversation covering a broad range of subjects, including the importance of cryptocurrency and concerns about relying on such a new technology for storing wealth. There was also lots of general information related to how Nano goes about solving the problems associated with both fiat currency and Bitcoin.

We want to thank the members and moderators of r/Argentina and the Nano community who helped answer questions and keep the insightful discussion continuing long after the AMA ended.

Appia beta program announced

Appia put a call out this week, inviting developers to the beta version of their Manta protocol release. Developers looking for innovative ways to accept cryptocurrency payments can sign up to be among the first to access, build on and explore this exciting new frontier in streamlining cryptocurrency and real-world payments.

Guide to Magnum Wallet for Nano released

The addition of Magnum Wallet to the Nano ecosystem in late 2019 provided Nano users with access to a comprehensive suite of wallet features that include the ability to store multiple currencies. Magnum also offers a full Ledger Nano integration for Nano, and this recently published guide helps users understand how to unlock all of the functionality of Magnum Wallet easily.

The deep dive explores how to prepare and create a wallet, then explores creating transactions, as well as other advanced functionality. A big thanks to Community Manager Json for putting this guide together!

NanoArcade released with first game

NanoCenter Ambassador, u/NanoIsSuperior, announced the launch of Nano Arcade earlier this week. The website will feature games that leverage the micro-transactional ability of Nano, with novel integrations that highlight the versatility and applicability of the protocol.

The first game available at launch, “Colin vs. The Fudders” is playable only after the user sends a small Nano transaction of 0.1 to the arcade. The Nano Arcade is a welcome addition to the growing number of Nano video game integrations currently available.

Give it a try today and help Colin keep the Fudders at bay in this none-to-serious shoot em up.

Featured Merchant: Bidali

Before we go, we would like to highlight the work done by Bidali, in helping Nano users make purchases at some of the world’s most popular outlets. From buying the latest products on Amazon to phone top-ups in Ghana, Bidali offers a huge range of gift cards for almost anything.

Bidali send their gift cards on confirmation of payment. Making Nano hands-down the fastest way for customers to turn their digital currency into the products and services they need!
