Maintaining the momentum generated through July we have another great week’s worth of developments in the Nano ecosystem to share with you. Live transactions from within the Unreal Engine, Kappture inspired contactless iOS payments via Natrium as well as some upcoming events to share, let’s get to it.
We often talk about Nano being an efficient, light, and versatile protocol that can be quickly added to an incredibly wide range of projects. We have seen notable progress in the addition of microtransactions to video games, with people receiving Nano payment for their in-game exploits in NanoQuake and Player Killers Exchange
Nano Foundation core protocol Developer Wesley Shillingford has showcased his own gaming project, developing a Nano plugin for the popular Unreal Engine:
The upcoming plugin represents an exciting indication of the considerable potential for Nano to be integrated into modern games engines. It will help empower games developers to integrate digital money into their projects with ease and start unlocking the true potential of Nano.
There is even an ongoing project in development via the NanoCenter to add Nano to the Unity3D engine. The future of Nano powered gaming transactions is looking brighter every day!
Kappture working to strengthen the ecosystem.
A couple of weeks ago, we highlighted the collaborative efforts Kappture and Natrium in developing and deploying contactless Nano payments via the Android mobile app.
Following recent changes to the Apple Near Field Communication policies, developers can now harness the power of contactless payments on the popular mobiles devices. Kappture have once again shown incredible tenacity in quickly bringing this functionality to the Nano ecosystem and have showcased the convenient tap to pay method on Twitter:
With functionality expected to be added to the public app soon, it is encouraging to see these collaborative efforts continuing. This type of work helps to push the envelope on how easy cryptocurrency payments can be with fast and fee-less protocol underpinning the user experience.
