Day 15 > Nanowrimo 2016

For those who don’t know me, I decided this Nano to do a short story compilation (maybe an anthology) where each story was inspired by a single song. I had this list ready before November and tried to prep a few ideas before hand.

It is now day 15 and I am doing much better than last Nanowrimo. Last year I only made it to 5,000 some words. I am currently at 15,360 and thats not counting today’s work.

I have made a decision. I am going to stop pushing myself after today to make a song produce some sort of magic. Some of them just refuse to give me any substantial ideas and I have so many stories I love already.

So, I am going to focus on the stories I have already started in the first 15 days and if I get some extra time, maybe finish them, but haven’t reached by 50,000, than I will go back and try to make some magic happen with the others.

One of the reasons I love Nanowrimo is how flexible it is. It’s okay for me to make this decision 15 days in, because they support ideas, even rebel ones. What’s important is that I keep writing every day.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
