Keep Going, NaNoWriMo Writers!

This is just a brief note of continued encouragement to anyone who’s still struggling to bring that nascent novel of yours to life this month. November is halfway finished, which means you’re halfway there!

If you’ve made it this far, congratulations! The hardest part of any writing is starting. The editing can always come later.

50,000 words is just a guideline. Don’t let that limit you, and don’t let it hold you back. And as I’ve said elsewhere, novels don’t end in November.

I may not have joined you on this quest, but I’m still going to be a cheerleader for fiction in all its varied forms.

Maybe you’re doubting the direction of your story, or you’re stuck, or hating the characters. Never fear, you can always change it. These words aren’t written in stone.

So, keep plugging away. You’ll get there. I’ll be waiting for you at the finish line.

Cheers.
