In honor of National Novel Writing Month 2015, Medium is offering a weekly writing prompt now through the beginning of December to spark your imagination and help you write fifty thousand words.

The prompt for December 3rd is…

What did you love about NaNoWriMo this year?

‘Wrimos, NaNoWriMo 2015 has ended. Maybe you hit 50K words, maybe you didn’t, but regardless, you have more words than you did on November 1st, right?

You wrote fiction; some of us for the first time, some of us for the 10th. Either way, you’re a winner in my book.

This year I loved so many things. I loved that Sarah Hammond was my Medium NaNoWriMo partner. I loved that Austin Kleon, Carina Sitkus, Tom Farr, Shawn White, and Buster Benson wrote prompts to inspire novel writing. I loved that Kim Purcell posted pro novel writing tips daily; that jaimeejaimee and Matt Brady posted daily about their experience participating in NaNoWriMo for the first time.

I loved that Josh Gauthier, Stephen Taber, and C.A. Villeta posted their novels in progress on Medium!

And I loved that you, the readers of this publication, supported each other by recommending, highlighting, and responding!

What did you love about NaNoWriMo this year? What would you like to see in our publication next November when NaNo rolls around? What would you like to see in our publication from now until then?

With Gratitude,

Julie (unagicat) & Sarah (SarahHammond)

Hit the button that says “Write a response” at the bottom of this page, write, and publish!

Sarah Hammond, and I will select our favorite responses received by Tuesday, Dec 8th, to feature in the NaNoWriMo publication and be mailed a Medium sticker.

Even if you don’t write a response, support NaNoWriMo participants by highlighting your favorite lines in their responses and recommending their posts.
