Snyder Cut – Is It Real?

Disappointed Fans

In 2017 when Justice League 2017 finally hit the big screen after a long years wait from the previous film in the series, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016.

However, fans were left disappointed with Justice League after Joss Whedon took over the directorial role following Zack Snyder stepped down. (Ana Dumaraog 2017)

The 2-hour runtime left multiple questions for the audience as scenes from the trailers were missing and character- establishing background stories were left out of the film.

We got to see short appearances of other DC Superheroes such as Barry Allen, Victor Stone and Arthur Curry in Batman vs Superman, who later reprised their roles in the Justice League movie as members of the main cast for the superhero team-up.

Fans were expecting to learn more about these characters in Justice League after only a short glimpse of them in the previous film, including how they obtained their powers and began their superhero timeline. Most of this was cut short in the final release, and as deleted scenes began to crop up online of these deleted scenes, fans became even more eager for Snyder’s vision.

Support for Snyder

Throughout the last two years, the hashtag #releasethesnydercut has been trending on Twitter by fans and even the main casts members such as Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa have been posting their support for Zack Snyder’s version.

Petitions were made days after Justice League was released in cinemas, with fans not only wanting to view Snyder’s cut they also weren’t happy with the original composer of the movie being changed from Junkie XL to Danny Elfman, this lead to a petition on Change.org by Roberto Mata reaching 180 million signatures (mine included).

Exciting Leaks

Fans have been astonished by the leaks over the last two years with storyboards being released showing Ray Porter’s portrayal of Darkseid (DC Villian) as during Batman v Superman the nightmare scene Bruce Wayne inversions were meant to be continued at some point in Justice League but, was cut from the theatrical version.
