This post is about the result of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) earlier this year.

The WGA represents approximately 11,500 writers responsible for the movies and shows we enjoy on our screens. After 148 days of negotiations, the strike ended in September securing significant gains for the guild.

Read on for more insight and evidence that when we come together things can change.

Key victories include a 5% increase in minimum wages, improved residuals for streaming, and protections against AI exploitation.

This strike impacts not only the writers but also the entire ecosystem of the entertainment industry, including production crews, actors, and other professionals who contribute to the magic of filmmaking and television.

We encourage you to stand in solidarity with the writers by supporting their cause. Your help can make a difference in ensuring fair compensation and maintaining the quality of storytelling that we all cherish.
