And then there were none: St. John Ascension Detroit Hospital has been a bellwether for COVID-19 activity throughout the pandemic, hitting a peak of 295 patients on April 6, 2020, and a 2021 peak of 101. DETROIT — St. John Ascension Detroit Hospital Tuesday reported a first for the pandemic: zero COVID-19 patients, a first since the outbreak began.
