“Try it.”

“No.”

“Come on, look at it! You’ll love it!”

“Why do you do this?”

“Because it’s good for you.”

“No I know that…I don’t — why do you put it all in a bowl? It’s…it’s just…”

“What?”

“EVERYTHING IS TOUCHING!”

“It’s a bowl.”

“I’m aware, but the chicken’s gonna taste like whatever the green stuff is — “

“ — Power Greens — “

“ — and…wait, why is there green stuff on the chicken?”

“For crunch!”

“What is — “

“ — GERKINS!”

“ — I don’t — “

“…it’s a pickle. Chopped dill pickles, because they’re crunchy and briny and will lighten up the richness of the chicken.”

“I don’t know what you just said.”

“Just try it, Mark, please. Do it for me. Do I ever ask you for anything?”

“Yes, all the time.”

“See, then no big deal!”

“I don’t like you.”

“Shouldn’t have married me then.”

“Right.”

“I’ll make you the perfect bite — “

“ — No thanks, I can — “

“ — with a bit of greens — ”

“ — stop — “

“ — a little sweet potato — “

“ — it’s orange — “

“ — and a dollop of chicken.”

“I’m not eating that.”

“Please?”

“No.”

“Fine. Then I get to ask you to do something for me.”

“Whatever.”

“Call my by your name and I’ll call you by mine.”

“You’re a freak.”

“Do it, or eat it.”

“Why do I have to — “

“JUST DO IT!”

“Fine! MaAARGHHHH — “

“I could’ve choked.”

“You didn’t.”

“But I could’ve!”

“You’re such a baby. Wasn’t it good?”

“Shut up.”
