We Are Hiring

Hello and Welcome. This might be the first you’ve heard of the Centre for Public Services Leadership, and there’s a good reason for that. We’ve only just been created. We are creating a first — a national centre to support senior leaders across the whole public sector.

And because we’re brand new, it’s an exciting time to join us — we’ve just got our funding in the recent budget announcements and are setting up the organisation and developing our programme of work.

The Centre’s goal is to drive forward the productivity of the UK by improving the effectiveness of its senior leaders and there are three core parts to Centre’s work:

1. Programme: running a programme for small cohorts of people new to CEO level which will develop their skills .
2. Network: building a nationwide network for senior leaders, which will include launching an online presence and developing networking events
3. Research and evaluation: assessing our work and building data on the links between productivity and effective leadership

There are three roles open at the moment — and we’ve designed them to be open to all. Though there are three adverts, there are more than three jobs; we will deliberately recruit for a pool of people, create a waiting list, and then allocate roles and responsibilities according to what would suit each person best.

A note on location — they are all based in London for now, though the Centre will be working nationally with events and collaborations up and down the country. Most of us work one or two days from home each week, so we hope that helps to make it inclusive for those who would need to commute.
