Flooding

The issue for emergency responders is gaining some form of control and coordination over the response arrangements. Police have primacy at these events but the Fire Service has delegated responsibility for the command and control. Some key principles may be adopted around:

• Batch Mobilising
• Setting a geographical boundary
• Using electronic systems to enhance decision making and sharing information
• Matching resources to risk
• Using JESIP principles
• Ensuring the planning and preparations have been practiced and tested
