“Let’s Talk about BDSM, Baby” Blog
Today, July 24th, marks the celebration of BDSM Day, which was established in 2003 by Kurt Walter Fish, the founder of Barcelona's Rosas Cinco Club, a BDSM club in Europe. Why this day? For those who live the life 24/7.
What is BDSM?
The acronym BDSM represents a broad spectrum of erotic activities, interpersonal connections, and the related subcultures and communities.
Bondage- Restraints such as ropes and/or handcuffs, any that restrict movement for the intended purpose.
Discipline/dominance- A role that can be embraced either solely within the context of the bedroom or to the extent mutually agreed upon by the couple, wherein one partner assumes the role of the dominant party, guided by agreed-upon rules and punishments.
Submissions /Switches/ Sadism- Submissives take on the role of obedience to their dominate partner with agreed upon hard and soft limits and a safe word. Switches may take either a dominate or submissive role depending on the circumstance. Sadism is the sexual pleasure one gets from administrating of pain on another who is consensual and within the limits of the other person.
