Todd looked out the window of his rental home. No homes or business or anything but trees and grass. It was nice to get out of his stressful life for a while. But it was lonely since his divorce a few months before. He did not even contemplate dating. Still, what was he supposed to do, just find some willing woman and jump on her to restart his life? Was that what would hit the reset button to make him okay again?

He sighed and took another sip of coffee. The mobile car wash company would be here soon to give him “the works”, whatever that entailed. The wash, wax, and vacuum treatments on his Audi must include gold dust or diamonds for that $500 price tag.

He rose and stretched, checking himself out. Still 6 feet tall, sandy brown hair, light dusting of chest hair, strong arms, athletic dad bod. No six pack but no paunch either. For a thirty-six-year-old man, he thought he was still in reasonably good shape. Especially considering the last six months of his life had been utter hell.
