Dismissed

The worst thing you can do to someone is write them off. Unworthy of your time, support, and empathy.

I’ve watched younger designers and developers starting out. Eager to learn and grow be completely mismanaged.

First impressions mean something but they shouldn’t be a death sentence. Try as they might, they can’t the very limiting box they’re placed in.

Rarely do you go into a job knowing everything you need to be a success. But, not every company prepares to teach the skills necessary to grow.

So many are hoping to gain experience but don’t know all the right questions to ask. Or who will help them. But they get dismissed.

The failure is usually not on the individual who is starting out. Rather it is with their manager who lacks in leadership experience and doesn’t know what to look for.
