Side writing

I decided I’m going to do this. Writing that is.

I’ve never been a writer. I’ve decided to give it a go.

There are reasons why it would be helpful to have a writing habit. You can find 100’s of them with a simple search here on Medium. I’ve read them a few before but it wasn’t what prompted me to start now.

It wasn’t a New Year’s resolution. If it was, I failed by starting on the 20th of January.

It happened to start on inauguration day, but that wasn’t a consideration either. My first posting had nothing to do with politics, hope, or doom.

The truth is that I have no idea why I decided now was the time to start. And it’s why it’s going to stick.
