Success theater

A lot of companies will tout metics to prove how successful they are and most of the time the numbers are completely irrelevant.

These companies will spend more time patting themselves on their backs than doing the hard work. The stuff that actually drives results and serves customers.

They’ll spend more time trying to “win” awards than build a better product. These awards are never won, but rather bought with a submission fee.

All style and no substance.

It’s a cheap way to look great but the effects are short lived. Your customers will see through you. Your employees will see through you.

Eventually the facade crumbles. You can’t build a house with only glitter and ribbon. At some point you need to lay down bricks.
