September’s — The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (GBU)
The Good
- In this month, we all increased the number of girls from 25 to 54 in Navgurukul with the help of the mobilization team. They all did a great job in mobilization and they all are very motivated to help another girl like them. Every girl should have an opportunity to explore herself.
2. Students conducted Induction in a proper way in which we are doing life mapping through that we all getting to know about each other and it is helping us to create a bond with each other. Some activity, which helps us to create coordination and we also read the constitution of Navgurukul to know more about the processes of NavGurukul.
3. We had a session with Argo and Divyam. They help us to clear some of our basic concept in programming and also had a session related to Education, Health Care, Environment and Waste Management with Shubham. It was a great session for us because we all learned about those things which are very important for us but forgot to see this in our busy lives.
4. Four girls are working in the Sexual Harassment project in which they are learning about problems of girls at the different level and “how to solve problems related to this”.
5. Six girls went for Manthan in which they had a discussion related to Sexual Harassment. The discussion was very great with bola_india team members and there was an equality for everyone. Everyone shared their views according to their knowledge and experience.
6. In English activity, some students started working on their vocabulary. It is helping them to improve their English.NavGurukul made classes according to students’ level in English. It will help us to improve our English according to our level.
7. Two students went to Manthan for 4 days in Pune. There was a workshop based on J.Krishnamurthi’s teaching of life and harmony in Sahyadri School. They enjoyed the workshop and learned about life, how to observe yourself, and how observation helps in our daily life to live smoothly.
8. In the Hackathon, students were very excited because the first time through Hackathon we all learned “how to do dry run” and this time it was very creative. Firstly, we did the dry run. Then students made 2 to 4 question videos and upload in youtube.
The Bad
1. There are lots of miss management in our campus because students are getting bored from Induction. The activities are not that much interesting for the students.
2. When new girls came to campus, they didn’t feel good on the campus because its very new experience for them to live far away from their families.
3. There are lots of miss communication between students and team members. It’s creating the unpleasant environment for students and team members.
4. Our Seva model is not conducting properly. Some students are new, they all are involving in the community working because we don’t have students to manage the work which has to happen because of an increase in the strength of girls. So that it is creating the mismanagement in the campus.
5. One of our student suffering from a hand fracture. It creates a disturbance in her life and studies.
The Ugly
1. Our team took the decision to send two students to their home because of some issues that happen during this month.
2. Most of the students are feeling disturbed because of some incidents which happened in our campus.
