Naya re-imagines co:creation and democratizes design to create products for our unique, diverse needs. The platform is trusted by brand names like Google, Wayfair, and Herman Miller, as well as startups and entrepreneurs — clients who value our experience as they design and develop new products for their customers. Naya aims to create more inclusive, delightful, and sustainable products through an adaptive platform that embodies co:creation and trust while providing an incredible user experience.

Inclusivity

At Naya, we are determined to break the status quo of who gets to design and who is designed for. Like many others, we love Scandinavian design — but where is Brazilian, Indian, and African design in the global arena? What’s more, people of color, women and gender non-conforming individuals — all communities marginalized by oppression — are chronically under-designed for. We live in the midst of a design desert, despite having unprecedented access to ideas, designers, and fabricators across the globe. One fact rings true: this must change. We address this through co:design and removing barriers. By nature, co:design is not only focused on users’ needs, but also works on enabling ideas to come from uniquely valuable places.

Co:Creation

A truly collaborative experience between multiple stakeholders — including designers, engineers, fabricators, and clients — creates thoughtful, innovative products through a variety of diverse perspectives. While fleeting trends are popular, users’ needs must become the driving factor behind design decisions. In response to this growing need, we are creating tools and processes that help stakeholders collaborate more effectively and creatively.

Trust

Incredible ideas are often hindered by practicalities; they are limited by anxiety related to the price, complexity, and quality, among other things. At Naya, we believe that quality and fairness are achieved through mutual understanding, communication, and transparency. With tools for better communication, scope development, and project management, we achieve greater buy-in, trust and understanding from our stakeholders. This ultimately leads to win-win situations and higher-quality products overall.

Delight

We aim to surprise our users with moments that are thoughtful, inspiring, and magical. At Naya, we always strive to go above and beyond expectations to form memorable and meaningful experiences. We believe that design is sacred; we do not take bringing new products into this world lightly. For these reasons, we believe that we must celebrate the process, instill confidence, spark innovation, and build stories that live within our products and shape the world around us.

Adaptation

Our versatile and innovative platform is designed to continuously evolve with the ever-changing nature of users’ needs. We have set our sights on celebrating tradition while having foresight into the future. Lessons and insights gathered from current projects are shared to further our understanding and improve our design choices. Co:creation happens all over the world, but knowledge is lost in siloes. By bringing together shared resources, we can develop greater products that push the boundaries of what is possible. The name “Naya” means newness and innovation in Hindi, Hebrew, and Arabic. This is a reflection of not only the truly innovative products that are designed and developed through Naya’s platform, but also how the brand continuously seeks to stay current and relevant.

Adventure

At Naya, we promote a core belief: a timeless product is created through an experimental journey of trial and error, with constant iteration and bursts of creativity throughout. Together, stakeholders walk away with a product and a story they can cherish. We celebrate rough drafts as fiercely as finished products, because we know that a design is never truly complete. Design decisions are based on research, analysis, synthesis, and intuition, and we support these decision-making processes throughout the experience for all stakeholders.

Sustainability

We carry a holistic perspective on sustainability — involving culture, environment, and spirituality — that informs the design of the platform and all created products. We seek to include greater diversity in our ecosystem and spark cultural collisions that lead to deeper, more thoughtful product innovation. Naya is focused on empowering users to make better decisions for the environment by leveraging technology and our incredible ecosystem of expertise. We cherish the design process as sacred and meaningful, bringing soul to both our experience and creations.
