Release Note

Change the minimum LN max fee (1 sats → 5 sats)

When you send money through the Lightning Network, you basically pay a fee to the relay node. The Nayuta Core node (LND) calculates the remittance route to be as small as possible, but to avoid paying an abnormally high fee, you can set an upper limit in the settings screen. The default value is 0.1% of the remittance amount.

Since 0.1% of the remittance amount is too small to be a fee in some cases, in v0.4.3, the fixed value was set to 1 sats if the remittance amount was below 1 sats.
However, many people reported that they could not relay with 1 sats, so we asked them to change the value of fee rate manually in that case.

We decided on a few major nodes and observed the fees for a month, and since they were within 5 sats, we changed the minimum amount to 5 sats in v0.4.4.

It is only a “minimum fee limit”, so if the fee is only 2 sats, for example, only 2 sats will be used.

Maximum Bitcoin sending amount limit

The amount of Bitcoin will now be restricted or notified for related operations.

  • Bitcoin sending amount is now limited to 999,999 sats per transfer.
  • Input of amount is now required when requesting Bitcoin payment.
  • Limit Bitcoin requests to 999,999 sats per transaction.
  • When the total balance (Bitcoin, Lightning) reaches 1,000,000 sats or more, the ⚠ mark will be displayed on the home screen (display only).

Notify when not backed up

If you have not backed up your Bitcoin wallet passphrase or Lightning channel, a ⚠ mark will be displayed in the upper right corner of the home screen. Tap the mark to see the reason why it is displayed.

The app cannot confirm whether you have really saved the backup or not, and the ⚠ mark is removed based on the judgment by the operation, so please save the backup at your own risk.

The use of the channel backup file is not to restore the channel itself, but to force the channel to close and receive your balance as Bitcoin.
The Lightning Network channel information is managed by both sides of the node, and if you force the channel to close with outdated information, it will be treated as a violation and you risk losing all your balance.
Nayuta Core uses LND’s Static Channel Backup to create backup files, and if this is used on Nayuta Core without channel information, the node that is the channel peer will force close.

Passphrases and channel backups are related, and you cannot use a channel backup file without restoring the passphrase to another wallet.

Enable send all Bitcoin balance

On the Bitcoin sending screen, we added a checkbox that allows you to send not only a specified amount but also the full amount.

Bitcoin explorer selection

The Block Explorer can now be selected from “Settings > Detail Settings > Explorer”. Previously, only Blockstream was available, but now mempool.space has been added.
