BESAN LADOO/CHICKPEA FLOUR BITES

Are you a sweet tooth person like me? Craving for something yumm, mouth-drooling by going through Insta feed and felt like having ’em right away but too lazy to cook at the same time? If so, then this one is JUST FOR YOU honey.

BESAN LADOO/CHICKPEA FLOUR BITES a.k.a. Heavenly delights!!!

How do we keep it simple and load ’em with love? We can! ‘cos all you need is just 3 major ingredients that is readily available in your kitchen. Yeah you read it right, just 3!

Lemme tell you …

INGREDIENTS:

Before that, keep these ingredients handy

  1. Ghee (clarified butter)
  2. Besan/Chickpea Flour
  3. Powdered Sugar and some dry fruits (optional).

PROCEDURE:

Lets make it right away.

  • Heat up a heavy bottom pan and add 2–3 tspns of ghee. (You need to be generous here, ‘cos that enhances the taste, do not disappoint your taste-buds darling)
  • Add 1 cup of besan flour and keep stirring it in low flame until its completely dissolves for about 30 mins approx. Once it cooked and becomes a silky paste, let it cool completely. How would you decide? — color changes, turns aromatic and ofcourse ghee separates.
  • Now add 1 cup of powdered sugar to it and mix well. At this stage you can add crushed cardamon to enhance the taste and roll it in bite-size balls.

ADD TWIST & YOUR TOUCH

I always like to add some twist at the end to make food more appealing and tempting to eat so I went ahead and rolled it over desiccated coconut powder. Then comes the final touch, the cheery on top of my cake- “dry fruit”. Pick up one of your choice and top it up to beautify your creation, (everything you do is your own creation. Isn’t it?). My choice for the day is dry kiss-miss. A dry roasted cashew would give a more nutty feel tho (just saying…)

I was drooling just by typing this. It is now Sinfully yours:)

NOTES

  1. Make sure to sieve your flour before cooking.
  2. Remove lumps while roasting the flour in slow flame to achieve that SILKY texture.
  3. Add nuts/dry fruits while mixing sure for the extra crunch.
  4. Cook with Love!

You can always add your touch to your creations. Do share it, as I’d always love to try. And always remember, “The secret Ingredient is always LOVE!.” Lemme know how it turned out.
