Farewell from Carrie Dubuque: OSPI NBCT Program Coordinator
Carrie Dubuque has spent over a decade at OSPI, lending her dedication and expertise to exceptional educators. The following is a farewell letter from this very special OSPI team member.
Dear NBCT Community! I wanted to take a moment to thank you for allowing me to part of the National Board family for the past 11+ years. Monday marked my last day at OSPI as I leave to pursue a career as a pediatric oncology nurse.
I admire your dedication to ensuring all students in WA have access to accomplished teachers, your passion for teaching your content, your love for your students as people, and your drive to continue doing what you love every day despite the ever changing political landscape, additional initiatives, and change in funding. My thanks is not nearly enough for the amazing work you do on a daily basis.
I also want to take a moment to virtually introduce you to Steven Mueller as he will be taking over the day to day operations for the National Board office at OSPI. Steven has worked at OSPI since 2014 in both the Washington Certification office and most recently in the Assessment Operations office. His knowledge of the state system and his passion for supporting educators will be really key to this work moving forward.
Many of you know Cindy Rockholt, NBCT. Cindy has been the Assistant Superintendent of Educator Growth and Development for the past year. Cindy has been supervising the National Board program since she began her time at OSPI and will continue to be the point person for strategic planning and policy decision. Cindy can be reached at cindy.rockholt@k12.wa.us
As always, please also do not hesitate to reach out to your OSPI Regional Coordinator.
Thank you again for allowing me to be part of your work and your lives for the past 11 years. I look forward to how our paths may continue to cross in the future.
-Carrie
