Attack on Tokenomics
GM,
The markets are bleeding, and those with more money are buying Bahamian KYC to get their funds out of FTX. What a wonderful world. But, maybe in 5 years, we’ll look back at this moment with some nostalgia as a catalyst for us to do better (or so the optimist in me wants to believe).
Ngl, I also lost some funds in FTX — against better knowledge. But lesson learned, now I will deposit it all on Binance… 😆
Despite the negative sentiment, there is no better time to continue on the path of education and learn from those who know more about a field than I do. In that spirit, I’m excited to open my next Twitter space on the topic of Tokenomics (one of my favorites to criticize when I look at projects) and investing in web3. 😍
Set your reminder here. ⏰
Selected guests this time are:
Mo Ezeldin: Head of Tokenomics at Animoca, previous career as a high school math teacher, now crunching token models and vesting schedules and supporting projects in creating sustainable token economies.
Bridget Greenwood: Founder of the 200bn club and community builder at the bigger pie — a fantastic community of women in web3 that’s been a massive inspiration for me. With the 200bn club, Bridget supports female founders in getting funding.
David: Co-Founder of Trove Labs, a web3 development and consulting firm focused on the NEAR protocol, and also a builder of Jump DeFi, leading DeFi infrastructure on NEAR. Knows his way around tokenomics and best practices.
Suprise: we might get a surprise guest as well. Also, if you want to join us on stage, request to speak anytime after our introductions, and we’d love to hear from you!
Agenda
As usual, I have a bit of a plan, but it’s fluid.
- Getting to know the speakers and finding out their favorite Anime
- Basics of Tokenomics
- P2E and other to-earn models
- Tokenomics for pfps?
- What does the future hold
And since this space’s title is inspired by Attack on Titans, here’s a quote from Hange.
“Even in moments of the deepest despair… I guess we can still find hope, huh?”
See you on Thursday!
