So maybe you’ve discovered NFTs and have already started minting some of your art on various marketplaces, maybe you’re looking to further grow your art audience. If you are, then here are five tips you can incorporate to help you become a more successful NFT artist!

1. Make your work stand out

Your art should be able to grab your audience’s attention. The NFT marketplace is very saturated now, and even the most talented artists may go unnoticed if their work doesn’t catch peoples’ eyes. That’s something that can be dealt with, fortunately.

Remember, what makes an art collection stand out is the art pieces themselves, so make sure that each piece is unique. You can consider adding some eye candy to your piece, maybe a visual that stands out, motion graphics, or even music! Anything that can make someone stop and look at your piece.

Take note that the name of your NFT or its description is important as well. A good description and name can add to a collectible’s value.

Finally, consistency is key to your art. A look at a lot of successful NFT artists would show you similarities across their color palettes or design elements. Incorporate your own consistencies in your work since these will contribute to you being able to sell your art.

2. Engage with your audience

People tend to collect the art they can connect with. So think of your artwork as a dialogue between you and your audience. Create something that speaks to them. If your art resonates well with them, they just might be convinced to buy a piece of your work.

Why not try referencing real events and experiences and incorporating it into your art? Try to embed a piece of history within your work to create a deeper meaning for you and your audience. Relevant events, especially significant ones can trigger responses from people, so try to use that to your advantage.

3. Know how to market yourself on social media

Social media is a powerful tool to help you grow your audience as an artist. Take the time to study how to market your art to your target audience on Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Telegram, and many more!

Look up useful guides on the internet or on video-sharing platforms such as Youtube, there are a lot of free resources out there to help you improve in managing your social media profile and presence correctly!

4. Immerse yourself in NFT

Learn anything you can about Non-fungible tokens. Read about what they are and how things work. Get fully immersed in the space and be active in communities. There are a lot of people that are willing to help you navigate the world of NFTs and blockchain technology.

Try to find active Discord communities with lots of artists and collectors such as Rarible Discord, Paras Discord and engage with them, possibly even strike up collaborations!

5. Be Humble

Let’s be real, people don’t make fortunes overnight, so when you are starting out as an NFT artist, it’s important to be humble and disciplined. Remember, being a successful NFT artist or trader requires skill, knowledge, and lots of persistence.

An experienced and well-known NFT Artist gave this advice “If you’ve joined recently, don’t overprice your work”

Also, do well to reward those who trust you and your artistic skills and have enough faith to engage with you and your collectibles. It’s good to remember that artists are essentially working for people who believe in them and in their collections.”

Take the time to apply these 5 steps in your career in becoming an NFT artist and you just might find yourself becoming successful both in art and in life.
