I hate myself! Hindi ko naman natapos ang project ko on time. Haay nakers! Naranasan mo na bang ma frustrate dahil hindi mo na reach ang iyong goal to finish your art on schedule? Usually, yung ideal production mo ay ganito karami per week. Pero ang reality ay,…. Hindi mo nga nasimulan ang iyong first draft. Relate na relate ka ba?

Don’t worry, prend. Hindi ka nag iisa. Hindi rin kayo nagdadalawa, or nag tatatlo. Ang totoo, marami kayo. Oo, ang dami nyo. Ang dami natin pala. (sinama pa ang sarili. Wanna be ka talaga no? pag bigyan mo na; sya naman ang naghirap magsulat nito eh. Sige na nga. LOL) Anyways. The problem that countless artists face is the so-called “resistance.” this plague affects artists of all kind. From writers, to musicians, to sculptors, to painters.

Have not fear, though. NEAR PH is here to save the day. Wow, mafefeel daw. LOL.

To quote a famous writer, English muna tayo friend ha? Sabi nya: “We experience (resistance) as an energy field radiating from a work-in-potential. It’s a repelling force. It’s negative. Its aim is to shove us away, distract us, prevent us from doing our work.” Wow pare ang lalim. Ang deep, pare. Pero in fairness, may point sya, diba? The last sentence states: ‘its (resistance’s) aim is to… distract us, to prevent us from doing our work.’

You know the drill. You persuade yourself to do the non-important things at the expense of your NFT art. Relate?

Okay. Now that we have somehow described our invisible enemy, that is the first step. Para nga syang virus, diba? Meaning, you felt the symptoms na parang it’s difficult to describe. You know something is wrong within, and that something has to be done. But you just did not know what it was, until you have visited your physician. I came to you, Doc, kasi itong symptom ko ay nakaka apekto na sa work ko. I cannot finish my NFT art on time, Doc. Please help me, Doc. Maawa ka. Please!

So the doctor ask you a series of questions to determine yung pinaka condition mo talaga. And then after you have described it, the doctor said, “it’s the new variant of the resistance plague.” Ah! Gotcha. Oh diba. What a pity.

So what are you gonna do with it? What are you gonna do about it? Tingala ka nalang ba dyan? Siyempre we need to figure out how to overcome this resistance virus that is plaguing artists. So where does this resistance come from?

Well, to quote a famous author about resistance, ‘it seems to have come from outside outside ourselves. We locate it in spouses, jobs, bosses, kids.’ diba parang minsan sinisisi natin ang environment natin dahil hindi natin natapos ang NFT project natin?

It arises from within. What is more, it’s self-created and self-perpetuated. It is the enemy within. Parang Spiderman lang no? “The Greatest Enemy Lies Within” wow poetic tayo ah. Not necessarily. But again, isn’t it true that no matter how much we blame the environment, we eventually find resistance from within? Try mo, ask yourself. Yung honest questioning ha.

And that is the nature of the beast, ika nga. The reason it’s very tricky to deal with is because it come from within. Sabi ng isang old timer na content writer: “resistance will tell you anything to keep you from doing your work… it will assume any form… it will reason with you like a lawyer…Resistance has no conscience. It will pledge anything to get a deal, then double-cross you on as soon as your back is turned. Traidor nga. Relate?

Oh, sha sha. Arm yourself with knowledge about this insidious enemy. Share it with a fellow artist friend. Hit that like button, subcribe to this channel, and hit that bell icon. Ay, hindi pala Youtube ito. Sorry po, tao lang.

Also, don’t forget to clap 50 times, so that Medium may rank this article higher. In turn, many other people will benefit form this piece. Uy, mag kklap na sya. Palakpak naman dyan, madlang pepoooool! Hangang sa muling pagkikita. NEAR PH wish you a productive day today. Remember, resist resistance.
