On August 23rd 2021, Meta Pool, the first liquid staking platform on NEAR Protocol launched on mainnet bringing to the ecosystem an effective solution to the problems associated with Proof-of-Stake, namely, illiquidity, immovability and accessibility. Through Meta Pool, users can stake their NEAR tokens and receive stNEAR, a token through which they can participate in DeFi in the ecosystem while earning rewards and contributing to the decentralization of the network.
Since its launch, Meta Pool has worked hard to bring more value to the NEAR ecosystem and community by striking partnerships with the top DeFi players and by launching Meta Yield, inaugurating a new generation of fundraising.
