The Cypherpunk Guild Has Been Legally Incorporated
The Cypherpunk Guild (formally known as ‘the Cypherpunk Association’) is now legally incorporated as an official Swiss Association. Representing the Cypherpunk Guild, the Cypherpunk Association is one of the first privacy related entities pioneering a private, decentralized, and open internet.
Notably, the Cypherpunk Guild is now qualified to not only stake, invest, and grant $NEAR and other forms of value that it receives or obtains, but it is also now eligible to receive donations from other organizations and individuals.
With privacy concerns emerging as a hot-button issue for many people around the world, the Cypherpunk Guild is launching at a time when leadership, support, and product development of privacy-minded decentralized applications are highly necessary.
In the near-term future, the Cypherpunk Guild will expand across the multiple facets of the rapidly decentralizing NEAR Ecosystem, building privacy focused solutions for base-layer infrastructure, payment processing, and even Decentralized Finance (DeFi). In the long-term, the Cypherpunk Guild intends to expand into the larger Crypto-verse, as a well supported vehicle for the development and dissemination of Cypherpunk values.
With a host of new services and products already being built on NEAR Protocol (and many more planned), the Cypherpunk Association will be reaching out to a suite of partners and organizations in the coming months to expand both its impact and brand.
