Mainnet Development
We started optimizing the performance of serialization and deserialization operations of certain core data structures which leads to a 3x(300%) performance improvement based on our preliminary testing results. Besides, we also updated some test cases for inter-contract call functionality.
Ecosystem Development
1.The Nebulas Project Dashboard is under development and it will be the platform for the Nebulas community to cooperate with each other.
2. Development of the NAS nano Pro push notification feature has finished and is in testing. We will submit the update to the App store in the near future. This update will support push notification when users receive incoming transactions.
Testnet DIP Program: Only three weeks left
From January 21, 2019 to March 31, 2019, you can deploy smart contracts on the Nebulas testnet and engage test users (or conduct various types of test transaction) and receive a Developer Incentive Protocol (DIP) NAS rewards!
The total reward amount for the Testnet DIP Program is about 2,500 NAS. The rewarded testnet tokens will be converted into NAS after the DIP goes live on Nebulas NOVA mainnet.
The development experience has greatly improved NR, DIP and inter-contract calls which can be done on the Nebulas NOVA testnet. Everyone is welcome to deploy a smart contract on the testnet to share the reward!

Research Institute Seminar
On March 7th 2019, the Nebulas Research Institute hosted a seminar titled “Introduction to Specification.” Dr. Tang introduced the latest research on the Sharding technology called Monoxide.
The paper “Monoxide: Scale Blockchain with Asynchronous Consensus Zones” has been published in NSDI’19, which is one of the leading computer system conferences. Co-authors of the paper include Jiaping Wang (Sinovation Ventures) and Hao Wang (Ohio State University). They propose a new sharding architecture that aims to ensure transaction atomicity across shards and reinforces security as honest mining power is diluted.
