Nebulas will reduce the DPoS reward and destroy excess NAS

November 11, 2019, the DPoS Reward Adjustment Proposal (Proposal No: NIP162) has passed with an astounding 100% approval via community voting. As a result, the Nebulas Foundation will respect the choice of the community and restore DPoS revenue to its annual output of about 3 million NAS (previously 4 million). Nebulas will also destroy the extra NAS generated since the increase in DPoS output.

The resulting excess of the Nebulas Foundation will be destroyed in full with PoD-based node plans. The destruction will be made public to the community when it occurs.

DPoS Revenue Details

After adjusting to the annual production of NAS to 4 million on May 6th, 2019 and as of 12:00p.m. on November 12, 2019 (UTC+8), the excess has accumulated to 521,001.8469 NAS and increases by approximately 2,739.7248 NAS per day. This portion of NAS will not enter circulation and will be destroyed when mainnet decentralization occurs.
