The Nebulas Foundation Committee Has Been Formed & The Charter Has Been Revised
Recently, the Nebulas Foundation has completed the formation of its cabinet members and the Foundation’s charter has been revised. With this in place, Nebulas will continue to pursue its vision of fairness and to create a system where all benefit from decentralized collaboration while constantly innovating and welcoming the future of collaboration.
Nebulas Foundation Board of Directors
On July 10, 2019, Hitters Xu who is the founder of Nebulas was elected chairman of the Nebulas Foundation and the foundation’s board has been subsequently formed by Hitters Xu. There are 5 directors within the Nebulas Foundation.
The list of directors is as follows:
Becky Lu
Nebulas’ Strategy Director. 8 years of digital marketing and advertising experience, 5 years big data marketing and operation experience. Former product manager in ganji.com, one of the largest Chinese online marketplace. Master’s Degree in Money, Banking and Finance, Economics, from the University of Sheffield.
Zhuoer Wang
Ecosystem Developing Director of Nebulas, responsible for the ecological development, cooperation and landing. Ph.D. dropout from UC San Diego focused on the operating system and system reliability, got a Master’s degree in computer science from Tsinghua University, interested in parallel computing and distributed systems.
Iris Li
Product Director of Nebulas and Information Architect with a focus on Human-computer Interaction. She is the former Product Manager for TaoOnTheRoad and Graduated from Tongji University with a degree in Computer Science and Technology.
Qiyuan Wang
Core Developer, Full Stack Developer, former Senior Developer of Alibaba. Graduated from China University of Geosciences of Science and Technology.
Renyuan Huang
Legal Counsel for Nebulas, Shanghai Jiuze Law Firm. Has 7 years experience in the legal industry with 3 years experience in legal counseling for the blockchain industry. He has worked in Shanghai Construction Engineering and Shanghai Bangxinyang Zhongjian Zhonghui Law Firm. He has experience in numerous industries including investment, finance, real estate, education, medical industry, Internet business director, corporate, commercial and tax law.
Nebulas Foundation Community Collaboration Program
The preliminary draft of the Nebulas Foundation’s charter has been drafted and the tentative community collaboration program consists of two parts:
A. Open and transparent.
The Nebulas Foundation will remain open, transparent and will disclose the use of assets, community development, and technology upgrades.
This includes:
- A financial report which will be released every six months; the latest financial report will be released in early August.
- The official website (nebulas.io/transparency.html) will display real-time announcements of asset distribution.
- Annual reports will be published once a year.
- A technical roadmap will be released for each cycle of technology upgrades and will be posted on the official website (nebulas.io/roadmap.html).
- If there is a change within the foundation organization, it will be published to the community via official channels such as the official website.
B. Community supervision.
The Nebulas Foundation accepts community supervision.
This includes:
- Personnel supervision: NAS holders have the right to initiate a presidential recall. After a certain percentage of support via on-chain voting, the recall process for the chairman can be initiated and the chairman of the foundation can be re-elected. During this period, the original chairman will continue to serve until the new chairman is instated.
- Behavioral supervision: NAS holders have the right to initiate a meeting with the chairman which include inquiring about Nebulas Foundation matters. The meeting should include a briefing on specific issues and the acting chairman should respond to the community within one week. The response should include the decision-making mechanism and reasoning of the foundation when the issues are specifically addressed.
The Nebulas Foundation Community Collaboration Program is now being announced to the community. All community members are welcome to submit their views on the Foundation’s related issues via the Nebulas community forum (community.nebulas.io). If there is no objection from the community, the specific monitoring process and plan will be refined and announced to the community.
