A ‘defunction’ is anything in our lives that reduces our capacity to fully function

Anankelogy identifies sources of pain in whatever limits your functioning. That’s what pain is for. To warn you of anything lowering your ability to fully function.

As I draft articles illustrating each one, they will appear below the appropriate subheader below.

Personal defunctions

If you can correct your own thoughts and behaviors to restore functioning, then it’s a personal defunction.

Interpersonal defunctions

If you can only restore functioning with the cooperation of your peers, then it’s an interpersonal defunction.

Power defunctions

If you can only restore functioning with the cooperation of someone with powerful influence over you, then it’s a power defunction.

Structural defunctions

If the only way to restore functioning points to changing some law or established norm, then it’s a structural defunction.
