Little preamble I To every person who has not forayed into web3, but dreams to do so, I would like to say: do not be scared to make the jump. People in this space are in the vast majority extremely helpful and warm, maybe because we’re still a little community, and most of us learned from each other (because web3 school is basically twitter and discord).
What it means for you, is that if you feel you’re lacking in this or this subject, people will help you find your footing and you will learn very quickly.
The second piece of information that is also good news for you is that finding web3 jobs can be a pretty much informal process.
So we will start by presenting the unconventional ways of finding a web3 job, and then the conventional ones!

The Unconventional Ways Of Finding Web3 Jobs
Probably the easiest way of finding a job in web3 is twitter and discord because this is where the web3 community lives, breathes, and dreams.
Find A Job On Twitter
- Just Type “Web3 Job” ! There are often tweets like this one where you can find sometimes hundreds of jobs, you then just have to reply to the comment you’re interested in and ding ding contact made !
- Type the name of the job you’re looking for or preceded by “ looking for ….”. Example: “smart contract dev” I “looking for dev”. Same process as before: reply immediately in the comments and ding ding contact made!
- Just write a simple presentation with what job you’re looking for with the relevant hashtags.
Do be careful though if you’re on a messaging spree, either through comments or DMing, you could find yourself quickly flagged and shadowbanned and you do not want that.
Find A Job On Discord
- Some discords have dedicated channels for people looking for a job in web3. Sometimes they’re even categorized. So you can just jump in and either propose your services or reply to a job post. Reminder: Do Not Spam.

- There are channels in most discords where you can make your introduction. It’s a good opportunity to present yourself as well as share what you’re looking for in a job in web3. You can also take the jump in the general chat. Nevertheless, ask a mod beforehand if it’s okay with them. And maybe you will receive at best an offer, “at worst” tips about whom and whom who are looking for someone like you.
- If you have your eyes on a web3 project, and they have a discord, you can directly open a ticket and make a compelling case for yourself about why they should hire you!
- An easy way to find if there was a job offer that could interest you in a Discord, is just to type like for twitter, the name of the job or “looking for….”, and see if anything that has been posted on the subject that could be of interest to you. As a certain number of Discords do not have a dedicated channel for web3 jobs, it’s a useful tip!
- If you’re part of discord communities that do not have web3 jobs dedicated channels, you could kindly ask, if it brings value to the community, to have one open and then post on it.
Do not spam Discord communities though, you will only find yourselves rightfully kicked out!
Bonus
Facebook can sometimes be worth the shot. You just have to type, like in discord or twitter, the name of the job or “looking for….” on the search bar and check the posts linked to this.
You can also find plenty of FB groups related to web3 where you could post a presentation and what job you’re looking for.
The Conventional Ways Of Finding Web3 Jobs

Fivver
One of the places to be for a great deal of web3 jobs is Fivver. It’s not because you will be on Fiverr that you will have to absolutely become a freelancer. They’re plenty of web3 employers that are looking for long-term contract employees on the platform because this is where you will find web3 job seekers. It’s much easier for them than trying to find someone in the ocean called Linkedin.
