Bordeaux Lip — First At The Scene

This band doesn’t give a damn about conventional genre style. First At The Scene is a blend of almost spoken word lines and a stadium rock refrain.

Ellas — Strange World

Ellas is a newcomer group, located in Brugg, a small town in Switzerland’s canton of Aarau. Strange World is a song that combines a longing voice and smooth indie pop tunes.

Dans La Tente — A Waste

Dans La Tente’s fascinating fusion of post-punk and psychedelic indie grooves manifests best in their single A Waste. It is the soundtrack for a daydream.

Mama Jefferson — Liquor Liquor

Loud, rude, and dirty. These are the words best to describe what Mama Jefferson’s Liquor Liquor sounds like. This trio doesn’t make any excuses for it’s in-you-face-music.

Soybomb — Tried To Warn You

Pink Floyd meets Led Zeppelin. Soybomb is mastering the combination of LSD-infused psychedelia and escalating arrangements.

Death By Chocolate — Give Us A Reason

The intro alone marks Give Us A Reason as an addictive rock song. Classic guitar music marries electronic buzzing. Death by Chocolate is widening the definition of the genre.

Egopusher — Patrol

Egopusher is a duo combining ambient atmosphere and dreamy violins. This unusual mix brought them attention well deserved. “Patrol” is a dark and intriguing opus.

Wolfman — Tell Us We’re Crazy

Smooth and sinister sounds Tell Us We’re Crazy by Wolfman, an electro-pop duo based in Zurich. But it feels warm and muffling too — like a blanket for cold days in a nightly city.

Rocky Wood — Enough

Emerging from the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, Rocky Wood is a band to reckon. Enough is a modest indie rock song with a shot of melancholia and heartache.

Caroline Alves — Unbound

Caroline Alves is a very young musician with a big voice. The singer embraces soul and R&B in her debut single “Unbound”. Nevertheless, this song sounds unique and has even an experimental twist to it.

Cilia Hunch — Soundless Cry (feat. Pablo)

Soundless Cry is a song with a clear message: It speaks out against misogyny. Cilia Hunch calls its music future soul. Groovy, bold soul and funk are mixed in this single.

Lower Pink — Young

Of course, Switzerland has its guild of singer-songwriters. Lower Pink is one of them. Young is a humble piece, that lines up to be one of the saddest tunes of the year.

What Josephine Saw — Summer Never Ends

Music made for the highway: What Josephine Saw are playing a crystal clear indie rock. Summer Never Ends is full of longing and frisky guitar melodies.

Amorph — Skin

Extra experimental sounds are coming from a band called Amorph. Adventurous rhythms, a variety of styles, and an epic arrangement let Skin become a song with a rollercoaster feeling.

Klain Karoo — Don’t Talk

What a melody, what a voice. Winterthur’s latest dream-pop, indie-electro formation Klain Karoo erases with Don’t Talk every doubt: They’re on their way to the top.

Tim Freitag — Bruises

Every line of Bruises shouts it: Tim Freitag wants to get out of the underground clubs and onto the big stages. This song is rock music as honest as it gets.

Len Sander — Woman On The Run

Powerful pop music by Zurich’s Len Sander. Woman On The Run is featuring danceable club beats, a frenetic melody, and a soulful voice. It’s almost impossible to stand still when this song kicks off.

Streets of Roya — All Eyes On Me

Streets of Roya is the latest of Zurich’s talented songwriter projects. All Eyes On Me, the debut single, is pure pop sound. But the most remarkable thing about this song is doubtless the brilliant voice.

Hot Like Sushi — Purpose

Purpose is the equivalent of a molotov cocktail thrown onto the dancefloor. Fancy groove, catchy refrain — the new single by the trio Hot Like Sushi has everything to get you in a bright mood.

Zeal & Ardor — Blood In The River

Zeal & Ardor, a project by Manuel Gagneux, has experienced an enormous hype. The international success for his blend of black metal and slaves spirituals is astonishing. Blood In The River synchronises these two styles better than any other song on the debut album.
