We need to come out of this as better humans!
Better humans.
Responsible humans.
Caring humans.
Grateful humans.
What have I left? There’s more of what we can be, that is better than what we are currently witnessing of humans.
And you’re probably asking how?
It’s really up to us — there you have it. It’s that simple.
I have not consulted human history books nor cared to look at the past to know what we have to be, to make this whole world a better place. You just have to ask yourself questions.
How long do we have to keep suffering, grieving and hoping nothing bad happens when we’re the cause of all the miserably in the world?
How long do we have to keep fighting the injustice done, when it’s actual humans and institutions enforcing the very same injustices?
And who’s running these institutions, humans!
The current leadership has never had the pain we’re feeling or lost people due to a pandemic, never. Our parents, and their generation have never lost so much in a short period of time (jobs, people, entertainment) — ever, in their lives.
It’s all happening to us, and so if this is our pain, why are we not turining it into greatness?
How long do we have to fight for black people to be heard? Look it up in history, it’s nothing new.
But how long?
Then surely it is up to the humans how we take the next chapter right?
And since we’re grieving, going through emotions — does it not beg the question on our future — how should we be running things from here on?
How should we be running politics, businesses, the government?
I don’t have 100% of the answers but I will tell you one thing: we’re supposed to be eliminating the possibility of causing harm or pain, in any form possible, especially on humans.
Businesses have to be ethical.
Governments needs to be caring, transparent and people focused.
But in all of these, in everything there’s humans — you and me who will have to make those decisions — decisions to go with (harm) or decisions to go without (harm).
It is really up to us.
It is up to us to be better, to learn from our current leaders because look at where we are now.
It is really up to us.
