All the speakers on stage

Last Thursday Ricardo Medrano (NEM Hong Kong) held an event in Bitwork, the new blockchain hub located in Kowloon Bay. Nem Hong Kong thanks to all Bitwork staff for host the NEM Event. Attendees had the opportunity to see 6 speakers working on different projects using Nem Blockchain.

Trikar (Nem HK)

The event was a success in attendance and quality of presentations. We get an amazing feedback. Some attendees showed their interest in NEM, and we are progressing our discussions with them.

Dr.Kent Lau

First speaker was Dr Kent Lau, working in the pharmaceutical industry, he presented a use case for the healthcare industry industry using NEM.

Geoffrey from Aenco

Another project in the same Health Care industry is AENCO. The CTO Geoffrey Tipton was the speaker.

The Aenco Blockchain is an evolving permissioned based public distributed ledger technology fuelled by its AEN token. It is designed to enable businesses, in particular healthcare technology sector, to customize a wide array of impactful real life applications. It will also support an array of decentralized financial applications to support the healthtech community/users and among other business sectors. They are using NEM Catapult private chain.

Fred from Kryptofootball

Another project presenting was KryptoFootball. A game with Non Fungible tokens using NEM. Fred Saurat CEO of the project was the speaker. Fred was looking before other protocols such as Ethereum or Stellar but finally he found out that NEM is the best blockchain for his project.

Krypto Football runs on the NEM blockchain. Each card ‘the asset’ (an original artwork that represent a team or player) is linked to one single Token Contract on the game’s blockchain.
To conquer an asset and acquire its ownership (Contract), participate to the crypto auctions. When your bid is selected and your transaction has been confirmed you become the owner of that asset card and you will start to be (crypto) rewarded following the performance of the team/player in real life competitions. As a difference with Ethereum NFT (Kryptokitties), NEM blockchain is faster and cheaper, moreover NEM enables to make NFT dividable for fractional ownership).

Connor from Noiz

Next, it was the turn of Connor Doyle, NOIZchain Marketing Technologist. NOIZchain is an advertising technology that enables brands to have personalized 1:1 conversations with consumers. They are using NEM public and private blockchain. Connor pointed some benefits for them using NEM such as scale, speed (3.500tps), Cross-chain Scynhronization between NEM Public and Private chains.

Joe from Lattice80

Then was the turn of Joe Seunghyun, CEO and founder of Lattice80. LATTICE80 is a Global Fintech Hub headquartered in London. One of the projects is using NEM blockchain, it calls KAYA network.

KAYA network will be a digital platform that provides financial services together with various stakeholders in fintech and blockchain. LATTICE80 will continue to expand its network to co-create the next generation of Financial Services with partners within the KAYA Network.
