More than 50 persons attended the Security Token Offering (STO) event organized by WB Fleming, Whitebox+ and BitTemple last 14th December 2018.

Panelists answered questions like — How is the STO readiness in various jurisdictions?, How STO tokens are different from utility tokens from technology aspect?, From a taxation point of view, what’s the difference for STOs vs ICOs in Singapore?, Has any STO been launched so far and any examples use cases you have seen?

For NEM, it will be the same, STO and ICO is the same, we will help you to generate your tokens but it will depend on you how you will use your token. The blockchain is a technology, do not put the regulation to blockchain itself, put the regulation on the business revolving around the blockchain. — Abbey Lapuz, NEM Volunteer Tech Trainer

We want to thank Mr Abraham Lapuz(NEM Tech Trainer) for participation as a panelist at our “Insiders’ Insights: Security Token Offering (STOs)” event! In addition to NEM, the panelists included speakers from Duane Morris & Selvam LLP, Ernst & Young (EY) and Gibraltar Stock Exchange(GSX).

The event was jointly hosted by BitTemple, WB Fleming and Whitebox+. Together, we are glad to contribute discussion towards securing progress in a developing ecosystem. — Jonathan Zhang, Managing Partner WB Fleming Global
