Several users get this error returned by Amazon. Errors have short descriptions often written by coders rather than marketers and therefore they can be a little frustrating at times.

“InvalidParameterValue” simply means that you provided a parameter that Amazon system does not recognize. This “parameter” is typically a wrong UPC / EAN code, or a wrong association of EAN+SKU code. Examples:

  1. You provided without realizing a wrong combination of barcode+ SKU code, in this case the solution is to duplicate then edit your product in Nembol eliminating the SKU code and then trying to publish again on Amazon with just the barcode.
  2. You provided an EAN or UPC code that Amazon does have among their product codes (see screenshot below). The solution here is to list the product via Amazon SellerCentral. In fact users cannot use Nembol at this time to create new products inside Amazon DB, Amazon will not allow it. Amazon requires you to do it through their own facilities.

A way to verify what above is to search via barcode in Amazon SellerCentral. In the screenshot below we show a non existing code.

In the case above, you have to click the link “Create a new product listing” and follow Amazon instructions.
