The error typically goes on with something like:

The standard_product_id data provided matches ASIN B0831BQ2DD, but the following data is different from what’s already in the Amazon catalog: item_name (Merchant: ‘3 Wolves Howling at The Moon Wolf T-Shirt’ / Amazon: ‘Sugilite Sterling Silver Pendant ~ Luvulite ~ Pure Love ~ (19156)’), brand (Merchant: ‘Protect The Wolves’ / Amazon: ‘Sugilite’). If this is the right ASIN for your product, update your data to match what’s in the Amazon catalog. If it’s not the right ASIN, make sure that your data for standard_product_id is correct.

(We used the real product name of a wonderful non-profit organization working with Nembol — non-profits, write us for a discount code!)

This means that the product you are trying to list is already in Amazon catalogue, likely uploaded by another seller before you, but it has a different association of item name with Barcode, and Amazon associates barcodes with their proprietary ASIN codes.

In simple words, somebody before this merchant used the same barcode for a product called “Sugilite Sterling Silver Pendant ~ Luvulite ~ Pure Love ~ (19156)” with brand “Sugilite”. This can happen when a merchant does not use genuine “newly minted” barcodes.

The solution is to associate the new product with a different, GS1-sourced, barcode. Costs of GS1 barcodes is very reasonable, and buying them there solves a lot of Amazon issues.

There is an article con barcodes in our knowledge base: https://www.nembol.com/e-commerce-for-retailers/amazon-barcodes-and-skus-while-listing-new-products
