Use CSV to move your products from your system to eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Storenvy, Shopify, PrestaShop, WooCommerce, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Tumblr
Many online sellers or retailers run their operations on some ERP or e-commerce or accounting system that enables product export in CSV format.
CSV stands for “Comma Separated Variables”, and it is a quite old standard file format for data transfer. It is in fact readable by any spreadsheet package such as Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, or Google Sheets. Therefore it is the way to go for whoever wants to populate the same data across different and separated systems.
So now, if you want to move your products from say PrestaShop to eBay or Amazon or Etsy, to increase your sales, or from Magento to Shopify, because you want to migrate to a more modern e-commerce system, well then a way to do it is via .csv export and subsequent import. It may be tedious but it can be easily done by whoever knows her way around Excel.
Recently, at Nembol we released a new function with which you can in fact get your products into Nembol via importing a CSV file. Once your products are in Nembol, you will be able to:
- Publish your products on 11 channels. Marketplaces: eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Storenvy; E-commerce engines: Shopify, PrestaShop, WooCommerce; Social media: your Facebook pages, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr
- Edit your products centrally (in Nembol itself or in Shopify) without needing to open all listings on all channels to fix a picture, change a price, or add a barcode
- All this while Nembol keeps your inventory quantities in sync across all your channels when you get a sale.
A tool like Nembol indeed makes life much easier to online sellers who wish to grow, but are not large operations with many dedicated e-commerce headcount.
In fact, on Nembol hundreds of one-person operations are running smoothly thousands of listings on the main e-commerce platforms at once.
