Consensus 2018: NEM‘s Biggest Event Ever

Everything you need to know for the upcoming Consensus Trade Show in New York on May 14–16

We’ve highlighted some of the most anticipated features ranging from NEM’s exclusive partnerships to hot new products and Catapult demos.

In past years, NEM has kept a relatively low profile at the Consensus Trade Show in New York while our team worked behind-the-scenes testing Catapult, the long awaited product update to the NEM Blockchain. For perspective, in 2017, our Consensus presence was a modest 10x10 turnkey kiosk and team of six.

This year, however, NEM has rented out the entire floor of the Sutton Space Pavilion to showcase some of the top products and teams innovating with NEM. This is our biggest trade show to date. The Pavilion space will host tons of hands-on product demos as well as meet-and-greets with key partners to the NEM ecosystem.

Here’s a sneak peek into parts of the 2,050 square foot floor plan layout.

You’ll be hearing a lot about NEM Catapult, the full-featured blockchain engine that can power both private and public networks with its unique smart contract plugins. These plugins enable bulletproof digital asset creation, decentralized swaps, advanced account systems and business logic modeling.

Jeff McDonald, Foundation Advisor, will be giving an in-depth talk on “Understanding Catapult” at the NEM Pavilion on May 15th at 14:20 pm. You’ll also hear from other important NEM partners including Tech Bureau, the Fintech and cryptocurrency solutions company behind Catapult’s technology. Earlier this year, Tech Bureau released the Catapult Private Developer Beta for partners, customers and select community members. Over 300 companies are currently testing on Catapult (many of which will be at this show so you’ll have a chance to ask them about their experience building on NEM.)

There are many companies looking at innovative ways to take advantage of Blockchain to create new products and services and we’re excited to share with you some of the leading powerhouses that have chosen NEM’s technology. Come by the NEM Pavilion to watch our partner presentations. Event times are listed below.

Come chat with a few of the developers leading our technology. NEM is moving into an open source development model where everyone can participate in official projects as well as bring their own open source projects to be promoted by the Foundation. We think that’s pretty cool and we’re excited to meet with you to chat about how NEM can help you deploy your products safely, cost effectively and easily.

This is going to be one of NEM’s biggest and most important conferences yet and we’re sharing the experience for fans at the event and around the globe. You can follow along with us on Twitter at #nemcatapult, #nemtakeover and #nemecosystem. We’ll be posting live interviews, videos, contests, photos and more!

If you’re at the show, make sure you fill out your NEM Passport by visiting each of the participating partner booths. This will be your ticket for a chance to win a Trezor and other awesome raffle prizes.

We’re excited to share the stage with so many talented partners and teams who are helping shape the future of blockchain. So mark your calendars, follow along and help us spread the word!
