#5 Mando Defeats Mayfeld’s Crew
Season 1 Episode 6
In the Star Wars Universe where powerful characters like Luke Skywalker, Master Yoda, and Darth Vader exist with a strong connection to the force, Din Djarin is a normal human without that luxury. However, he is highly skilled in guerrilla warfare, close-quarter combat, infiltration, marksmanship, demolitions, and hand-to-hand combat. In Episode 6 of season one, Din Djarin shows the audience that he is like Batman of the Star Wars Universe by taking out each member of Mayfeld’s crew one by one. This scene gives the audience a thrilling experience similar to when Batman first appears in Batman Begins (2005).
#4 Bo-Katan Helps Mando
Season 1 Episode 3
The moment that overwhelmed fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars with joy is when they saw a live-action Bo-Katan (played Katee Sackhoff, who also voiced the character in the animation). Fans thought they will never be able to see a live-action Bo-Katan but they got it. It was a moment of celebration that assured fans Star Wars content can still be relevant and enjoyable with animated characters appearing in live-action projects.
#3 Ahsoka Tano Returns
Season 2 Episode 5
Everyone intensely waited for this particular moment when the second season premiered. Everyone was asking, “When will Ahsoka Tano appear?” Then she appeared! And it was breathtaking. Rosario Dawson plays Ahsoka Tano with perfection and gives Mando a run for his money. Ashoka gives Mando all the information he needed to help Grogu get back to his species.
#2 Mando Sends Moff Gideon Message
Season 2 Episode 7
Giving villains a taste of their own medicine is always so satisfying. The moment Mando sends Moff a message gave chills to the audience. Din Djarin has always been the badass bounty hunter but this particular moment elevated him to the next level. After finding out the coordinates for Gideon’s Spaceship, Mando sends a message. Mando throws Gideon’s lines right back at him (referencing their first encounter from the first season); indicating that he will come and take his Grogu back. Gideon listens to the message with a dead expression and realizes that he has found his greatest mortal enemy who he cannot underestimate.
#1 Luke Skywalker Arrives
Season 2 Episode 8
Fans were always speculating which character from the Star Wars universe would appear in The Mandalorian. However, no one expected that The Jedi himself would appear to save the Mando and his squad from the nearly indestructible dark troopers. Luke Skywalker takes out the dark troopers as if they were nothing, similar to when Darth Vader first appears in Star Wars: A New Hope. It was a treat that fans never thought they wanted until they got it.
