Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia | Property of Netflix

Henry Cavill brings his brawny charisma to the screen as the White Wolf and proves that he is not someone to mess around with. #4 Toss a Coin to Your Witcher

Episode 2

There could no better bard than Jaskier. Jaskier’s friendship with Geralt is one of the best highlights of the show. This glorious moment arrives when the humble bard performs a song that pays tribute to the White Wolf. The song is heartwarming and has a catchy rhythm to it. However, it also has a subtle sad tone. The song portrays Geralt as a beacon of hope although, in reality, Geralt is just a human with some questionable deeds. Furthermore, the song portrays a message that any non-human creature is a monster that should not be shown any mercy.

#3 Geralt Faces the Strzyga

Episode 3

The story of a monster hunter would be incomplete if it didn’t feature a dramatic showdown between the top monster in the business and the famous White Wolf. This moment had fans at the edge of their seats. Gerald had to fight the Strzyga, a monster who killed a Witcher before. Our protagonist, Geralt, was faced with an exceptional challenge against the Strzyga but still treated the audience with awe as the White Wolf fought with everything he had in him. It was a treat for The Witcher gamers who had to fight the Strzyga as a boss fight while playing as Gerald. The drama, intensity, emotional weight, fight choreography, visual effects, and Cavil’s performance make this moment - breathtaking.

Audiences always had wondered how Geralt and Cirilla were linked by destiny when Ciri starts her journey to find Geralt. In the fourth episode, the backstory is revealed. Struggling with his White Knight complex, Geralt, as always, got involved in the drama by saving Duny. A thankful Duny insists Gerald accept a reward for saving him. Gerald, who does not believe in destiny, jokingly invokes the Law of Surprise for something Duny has but doesn’t yet know. The crowd then immediately learns that Pavetta is pregnant with Duny’s child, who would eventually be introduced as Cirilla. A lone monster hunter who was sterilized and struggled to find his place in society suddenly became a father. Isn’t that something?

#1 Yennefer’s Fire Magic

Episode 5

Anya Chalotra at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con

Many viewers were attracted to The Witcher because of Henry Cavill, the novels, and the games. But no one could’ve predicted that Anya Chalotra would have been the person to steal the show with her breathtaking performance as Yennefer of Vengerberg. The audience was automatically invested in her character when she first appeared on the screen. From a powerless, scared little girl, Yennefer became one of the most powerful mages on the Continent. In the season finale, Yennefer channels a massive stream of fire to halt off Nilfgaardian soldiers. The emotional weight and the drama leading up to the season finale made this moment astonishing.
