The fellowship was very much about dialogue and less about results

NEO Lab fellows Sebastian Haiss & Philipp Doringer in conversation with journalist and filmmaker Wana Udobang. This is part 4 of a 5 part series.

Designers Sebastian and Phillipp ask us to get rid of the search bar on the website. This simple act asks us to rethink the thought that everyone already has pre-existing ideas about museum collections and should come into a space already armed with knowledge which further solidifies the insular nature of museum culture.

They talk about the power of design in shaping the user experience and how websites can create space that is welcoming for those who typically do not see themselves, their stories or experiences reflected.
