Thank you for using NEORT.

With the release of the image artwork creation feature, the “GIF” challenge was held at NEORT. There are more applications than usual, and you can experience a slightly different expression method from code artworks and video artworks. Enjoy the comfort of drawing seamlessly in a short time, collage with photos, and the softness of handwritten illustrations.

In this article, we will introduce the artworks that our NEORT team had an interest in.

quiet afternoon parade(in the rain) / mae

pixel art animation

This is pixel art with a delicate and analog texture. The details of the raindrops falling on the flowers and the ground add softness to the dot representation. I get the impression that another artwork, “sister,” is on the same world line.

This is a unique expression that takes advantage of the characteristics of GIF images, in which the same motif is drawn using different methods for each frame. It is interesting to naturally count how many kinds of expression methods are available. There is also a “眼鏡拭き職人” who uses photographs.

nezumi_2019–0220 / つきじ のはら

It is an artwork that combines analog and digital methods, in which the illustration of a mouse drawn with a pen is animated. Every time I watch a series of comically changing toon-like mice, such as “nezumi_2018–0831”, I feel happy.

Sawako Kabuki

This is a series in which characters lick emojis and sweets and put them in their mouths. It is an exciting artwork that attracts the viewer’s consciousness by combining the lustrous movements of people with emojis and pop colors. In “ぺろぺろぺろぺろぺろ”, two people are also handing emoji by mouth.

The figure-like voxel art series is attractive for its motif appearance and deep space design. The creative world, which is an exquisite mixture of 2D and 3D, can be seen in other artworks such as “雨の教室”.

It is a pop and unique artwork that expresses everyday life as GIF art. She also posts other diaries on Twitter etc., so check that out too.

hand-drawn motion graphics / @kitasenjudesign

By re-expressing regular changes by hand, “fluctuations” that cannot be expressed by digital methods are created, and the balance of the expressions gives the viewer a pleasant impression.
