Anjeela Shrestha is passionate about improving healthcare, especially in underprivileged communities, through data-driven decisions. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She is pursuing her master’s in Health Information Technology at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is graduating in December 2021.

Recently, she completed an internship at Trinity Health in Livonia, Michigan. As a data analyst intern, she contributed to optimizing operations of 62 owned health centers with the objective to promote access to primary care services and other health services for those who are poor and vulnerable.

In her free time, she likes spending time outdoors, blogging, and cooking. She blogs about food recipes on her website, Silverliningthelife.com. She also advocates for nature and environmental conservation as she believes the environment plays an important role in health outcomes. In the past, she volunteered at Trinity River Audubon Nature Center, an Audubon Society chapter. She loves to reuse/upcycle and practices a sustainable lifestyle.

Here at NWiC, as a writer, she contributes to story series for NWiC Celebrate. She also enjoys speaking at our events.
