The digital-based creative industry is considered to be a solution to revive the wheels of the Balinese economy. Bali is one of the provinces most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Several strategies for developing entrepreneurship policies, including the development of the creative economy that is currently being carried out by the government, are by increasing business capacity and access to financing for entrepreneurs, increasing the creation of business and start-up opportunities, and increasing the added value of social enterprises.
The data also records that there are around 8.2 million creative businesses in Indonesia, which are dominated by culinary, fashion and craft businesses, so these 3 sub-sectors also have the largest contribution to the GDP of the Creative Economy. In addition, there are 4 sub-sectors with the fastest growth, namely TV and radio; films, animations and videos; performing Arts; and Visual Communication Design (DKV).

Baliola.com

For that reason, BKRAF Denpasar in collaboration with Kepeng.io built Baliola. Baliola.com is an ecosystem formed by Kepeng.io as a marketplace that sells creative products by artists, both digital and non-digital in the form of NFT (Non-Fungible Token). The release of the Beta version of Baliola is the moment that every artist and NFT activist has been waiting for by publishing the process of minting artwork into an NFT item. In the NFT minting process, artists can determine the selling price (price) in the value of the Kepeng Token (KPG) which can be determined independently by the artist through three choices, namely fix price, timed auction, and open for bids.
In addition, Kepeng.io together with Bekraf Denpasar is now supported by the Denpasar City Government related to building Denpasar City people who understand and are able to implement blockchain technology and NFT.

This is because blockchain is a new technology that requires understanding and a number of up-to-date technology references, with the main target of establishing the Bali Blockchain Center being students and the community of crypto asset enthusiasts in Denpasar City. The establishment of the Bali Blockchain Center is aimed at making Denpasar City a centre for the development of blockchain technology and world tokenization in the long term.

Blockchain Monument

Second, the construction of monuments with NFT-based financing in Denpasar City. Denpasar City Government will build a monument titled “Sita Kepandung” as high as 12 meters. The funding for the monument was raised from corporate social responsibility (CSR) through a non-fungible token (NFT) mechanism.
This mechanism was chosen as an embodiment of the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam promoted by the Denpasar City Government in advancing its citizens. According to the Mayor of Denpasar, Jaya Negara, the construction of the Sita Kepandung Monument was carried out to beautify the face of Denpasar. In addition, this monument is also expected to give positive vibrations to everyone who passes or is in the vicinity.

The NFT era is an era of collaboration. Of course, this will work better if it is supported by the government as the implementer of decisions in a region. Baliola, with the spirit of awakening the creativity of artists in Bali in their work, has received support from the city government which is in line with the vision of building a cultured and skilled community in the digital era.
