Getting our Game Android Ready & Perspective Adjustments

Before we go any further, let’s take a quick look at how we would go about getting our game Android ready. To start, we will want to be sure that we have Java JDK installed on our systems so that we are able to build for the Android device. Simply go to google and search for it:

From here, we will simply install the JDK for the device you are using and go back into unity. From there, we will go into our build settings and switch over to the Android platform:

Once the process has finished up, the next step is to change our game aspect ratio to a 16:9 resolution with a fixed ratio:

This ratio is also a 4:3 ratio and is the most commonly used ratio for HD. It is compatible with all HD monitors and mobile devices.

Next, what we will do is create a parallax perspective within our game. To start, we will change our cameras projection feature:

With this change, it gives us a closer look at the game allowing the player to see some more of the details, but we can still make a few adjustments to give it an even better look:

As we can see above, just making a few quick adjustments to the depth of the layers we have gives our game a look of depth despite it still being on a flat surface.
Now that we have it set up for android and quickly set up our perspectives around, we can now look to the next part of the game.
